In experiments with the GIT-4 device, a combined load was used to increase the K-Line radiation yield; as a result, the intensity of X-ray emission was doubled. For a liner current of 1.5 MA, in the quantum-energy range from 1.5 to 2 keV, a radiation power of 100 GW was obtained. As a result of the use of a gas sheath for sharpening the current front, the temperature of the aluminum multiwire liner plasma increased from 0.8 to 1.2 keV, and the plasma homogeneity improved considerably. The results of one-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic simulations taking into account the radiative effects and anomalous plasma resistance are presented.
