Uncertainty quantification in the optimization routine for X-ray differential phase contrast imaging system based on Talbot effect

Аннотация

Uncertainty quantification technique is applied to analyze the influence of the stochastic factors on the performance of X-ray interferometers based on Talbot effect. These factors are shown to play the important role when information is coded in the phase of the X-ray radiation. The grating periods and the source size when considered as expected values of Gaussian distribution with a given standard deviation (∼5%) need to be corrected by more than 10% as compared to their "deterministic" values providing the designed spatial resolution.
