Miniaturization of devices in various branches of technology in the aerospace industry, electronics, transport, power engineering, and medicine, causes a substantial increase in interest to hydrodynamics of gas-liquid flows and heat exchange in microsystems and microchannels. Researchers used new modifications of the schlieren method and laser induced fluorescence to investigate the joint motion of liquid and gas in microchannels, which allowed us both to acquire data on the distribution of liquid in a fixed channel section depending on time and to detect the presence of the film, drops, and liquid jets on the walls of slit channels. The reemitted fluorescent light was fixed using a digital camera equipped with a stepped light filter of lower frequencies transmitting the light reemitted by the fluorophore and cutting the laser radiation.
