The possibility of using the pseudopotential method and thermodynamic perturbation theory to study the thermodynamic characteristics of metallic melts under hydrostatic cubic compression is discussed. The influence of pressure on temperature, volume and entropy of the melt and on the behavior of the self-diffusion coefficient and thermodynamic parameters in a wide temperature range, including a high degree of undercooling, is analyzed.
