The kinetics of interaction of methane and oxygen with the surface of lead-tin oxide catalysts

    Аннотация

    The interaction of oxygen and methane with the surface of lead-tin oxide catalysts was studied by the methods of programmed-temperature oxygen desorption and programmed-temperature reduction. The kinetic characteristics of nonisothermal reactions were calculated. Enhanced catalytic activity of modified Me-Pb-Sn-O/α-Al2O3 samples (Me = Ba, Sr, Ca, and Mg) was shown to be determined by the presence of strongly bound oxygen. Conclusions were drawn on the character of reagent interactions with the surface of catalysts.
