The influence of machining on the parameters of roughness and waviness of the surface of aluminum alloy 5052 with coarse-grained and ultrafine-grained structure is considered. The influence of image-processing profile filters on the quantitative parameters of the profile of roughness and waviness has been established. It is shown that machining of samples with ultrafine-grained structure provide the higher quality of the machined surface, in comparison with machining of samples with a coarse-grained structure.
