    The analysis of fitness of the relay devices and systems, other monitoring and controlling systems to properties of automatized power system objects is represented. The paradoxes of using a number of relaying are considered. There are the means of prevention of violation of stability, liquidation of an asynchronous regime, differential guard of transformers and auto transformers, graduated current guards. The recommendations for increase of efficiency of an operation, improving of properties of selectivity and sensitivity of systems are given.
