Аннотация

The historic review of activity of Tomsk polytechnic institute (university) in different scientific areas is given, particularly, the development of the department of physical chemistry and technology of silicates and inorganic substances. The role of researches in this field for the development of ceramic, glass and porcelain industry in Ural and Siberian regions is shown.
