Regional adaptive information and advising system for earthquake prediction

Prediction of earthquake is a very important task. Many precursors of different type were founded and large number of short-term prediction methods was developed. Particularly, over a long period the prediction method, founded on electromagnetic precursors, was developed in Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU). Analysis of existent earthquake prediction methods showed their low reliability. In TPU it was suggested a new approach to earthquake prediction problems. On the base this approach a pilot project of a regional adaptive information and advising system (RAIAS) for the Short-term Earthquake Prediction was draw up. At present, it was begun stepwise elaboration multisensor system. On the first stage it was designed a multisensor research system of electromagnetic emission parameters observations from massifs in mines. A preliminary test of the system was carry out in an iron-ore mine.
