Аннотация

The surface layer quality indices - roughness, hydrogen absorption, microetching - during machining of titanium alloys in nonaqueous (ethanol, formamide, acetonitrile) and aqueous-organic solutions of mineral salts were studied. The mechanism of formation of the microgeometry of the surface in nonaqueous media is discussed. It is concluded that the use of nonaqueous electrolytes for ECM makes it possible to considerably reduce the roughness of the machined surface (R//a equals 0. 032-0. 064 mu m), hydrogen absorption (to 0. 01 mass. %), and microetching.
