Аннотация

The plastic deformation of partially crystalline polyethylene was developed at a mesoscopic level, which is determined by the material's specific two-phase structure. A number of similarities exist between partially crystalline polyethylene and metallic materials in the processes of plastic deformation, which include: the stage character exhibited on the loading curves; the frontal propagation of the neck in polyethylene and the Luders bands in metals along the working part of the specimens; and the formation of domain structures.
