Herein, we have fabricated non-woven piezoelectric polymer membranes from a copolymer of vinylidene fluoride with tetrafluoroethylene by electrospinning for the regeneration of oral mucosa. In endeavor to make the antibacterial membranes, we have deposited a thin copper coating on the outer surface of the material via magnetron sputtering. The study of the physicochemical properties of membranes over the course of various plasma treatment times demonstrated that while coating deposition does not affect material physico-chemical properties, it allows making the membranes antibacterial. In vivo studies have shown that non-woven piezoelectric polymer membranes contribute to the oral mucosa regeneration and the copper antibacterial coating accelerates this process largely.
