N2 - The proposed paper is dedicated to development of a new deconvolution technique for seismic signal compression. This approach is based on the analysis of the instantaneous phase spectrum for the recorded waves. In contrast to existing deconvolution techniques, the proposed approach implements an inverse filter for amplitude spectrum equalization. Studies of the phase-frequency deconvolution method are presented on simulated and real data. High resolution and capabilities of the technique in the selection of reflective boundaries are shown in the images of thin-layered geological sections of the Krapivinskoye oilfield in the Tomsk region.
