Аннотация
The paper reports on a comparative study of cratering on the surface of single-crystal and polycrystalline molybdenum, nickel, and Mo-Re-based alloys irradiated by high-power nanosecond-pulsed ion beams with a power density of 1 × 107 to 5 × 107 W/cm2. The defect structure and changes in the phase composition in and around variously sized craters were investigated by transmission electron microscopy. The nature and mechanisms of cratering are discussed in the light of the results obtained.
