Аннотация

Numerical models for electromagnetic wave (EMW) propagation in turbulent flows in liquid, in gas and in plasma were developed and used to investigate the relationships of the scattering parameters to the inhomogeneous velocity profiles and the turbulence concentration. The model indicated that the interaction between the travelling wave and the gas medium decreases with increasing flow angles. Frequency spectra of waves propagated through water indicated, on the other hand, a turbulence concentration that vanished on the flow axis and was maximum at the flow surface. With the plasma medium, frequency spectra of reflected signals revealed multiple EMW scattering on the inside surface of the turbulent paraboloid.
