Method of increasing yield of fluoropolymer powders in thermal destruction of polytetrafluoroethylene waste

A method was proposed that enables the development of an industrial technology for processing polytetrafluoroethylene by distilling it in NH 3-HF medium with a solid-phase product yield of more than 60%. The effect of the amount of ammonium hydrodifluoride introduced on the rate of the thermal destruction of polytetrafluoroethylene and the yield of fluororganic powder was studied.
