Аннотация

The mechanism of the discharging and ionization of rhodium and iridium on a graphite electrode was studied by the method of film polarography with accumulation. It is shown that in chloride solutions rhodium and iridium ions are not discharged on the graphite electrode whereas the addition of mercury ions to the investigated solutions permits the production of cathodic and anodic peaks of rhodium and iridium. Investigations of the mechanism and kinetics of the discharging and ionization of mercury in chloride solutions and in the presence of rhodium(III) or iridium(III) ions were conducted preliminarily.
