Аннотация

The concentration dependence of the yield point and resistance to microstrains was investigated on polycrystals of Fe-Si solid solutions in the temperature range 77-293 degree K. Comparison of the concentration dependences of the microscopic elasticity limit, work-hardening factor in the microstrain range and length of microstrain stage has shown that the solid-solution softening which is observed at the yield point when T less than 200 degree K is due to the fact that the work hardening in the microstrain range diminishes when a small amount of silicon is added to iron. The mechanisms of solid-solution hardening and softening are discussed.
