Аннотация

The present work presents the results of an investigation into the influence of additives on the sintering of majolica bodies for preparing ceramics. The majolica body of the South Urals Radio Ceramics Factory was used as the basis of the work. The starting raw materials consisted of Koelginsk marble, Chasov Yar and Nizhneuvel'sk clays, Ul'yanovsk quartz sand, and Glukhovets kaolin. The additives consisted of magnesia raw materials in the form of Onot'sk talc and diopside from the Slyudyansk deposits. Starting from the qualitative and quantitative concentrations of oxides, in the compositions of the bodies after sintering, it is possible to assume the presence of a number of crystalline phases in the ceramic: quartz, anorthite, mullite, magnesium metasilicate, diopside, and also glass of complex composition.
