    Аннотация

    An electron accelerator has been developed in which the primary energy storage is the capacity of a Marks generator (300 kV, 12 multiplied by (times) 10** minus **3 pF). The Marks generator discharges into the inductive energy storage through several parallel copper wires 50 mu in diameter, the inductive storage being the self-inductance of the generator. The wires explode at current maximum. The energy stored in the inductor is transferred to a diode with a multifront cathode. The accelerator yields an electron beam with an electron energy of 600 keV, a current of 5. 2 kA, and pulse about 100 nsec long.
