    Аннотация

    Fractography is one of the most efficient methods which makes it possible to study micromorphology of surface of steel destruction. It has been applied for investigating the weld destruction. The welds are weak places in the shell. Decrease in reliability of them should be eliminated during continuous operation of blast furnace. In connection with this, nucleation of cracks in the welds and ways of their propagation have been studied. Response of material structure elements such as grain boundaries, dislocation etc. to processes of crack nucleation and propagation has been investigated. Resistance of various welds to crack propagation in steel of 09G2S grade has been studied.
