Аннотация

Diffraction electron microscopy was applied for fractal analysis of interfaces in zirconium dioxide and calcium oxide powders. Powder particles of zirconium dioxide were found to represent hollow polycrystalline spheres with monocrystalline grain structure and non-equilibrium grain boundaries. Calcium oxide powder constituted monocrystalline particles with sizes comparable to grain sizes of zirconium dioxide. Analysis of diffraction patterns revealed considerable elastic distortions of crystal structure in zirconium dioxide powder. That is why compacted products of this material should be undergone to stress-relief annealing to avoid their buckling and fracture.
