Experimental determination of temperature field characteristics around intensively evaporating water droplets

Аннотация

This paper presents the results of an experimental study of the characteristics of temperature fields around intensely evaporating water droplets. To diagnose the temperature field of the droplets, a group of low-inertia type K thermocouples was used. The air temperature varied in the range of 100-500 ° C, and the initial radii of the droplets were from 1 mm to 2 mm. The dimensions of the layer of "heat protection" of water droplets are established. The features of the formation of the "lowered" temperature region and the dependence of the thickness of the "thermal protection" layer on the current drop radius and air temperature are shown.
