Выдержка

Experimental results are reported on the efficiency of wall cooling with a slot-generated gaseous film (slot cooling) at high turbulence levels of the free stream. It is shown that turbulence strongly degrades the protective properties of the cooling film both in gradientless and accelerated flows. The parameters of the inlet flow are studied in detail, and data on turbulence-level decrease along the flow are presented. A technique for taking into account the high turbulence level in computing the efficiency of the cooling film is presented. The curves thus derived are in a good agreement with the experimental data over a wide range of variables.
