Выдержка

The possibility of using inverted relativistic magnetrons (IRM) for generating high-power microwave pulses in the nano- and microsecond voltage pulse duration intervals has been demonstrated earlier. Anode units with an increased number of resonators (N = 12) have been constructed to increase the output parameters of such oscillators, and the results of tests of these devices are discussed in the present paper. The experimental results given are obtained for one and the same value of the charging voltage of the accelerator. Estimates of the power level generated by the IRM were obtained by three independent methods: by an integration of the radiation directivity pattern, measured in the 'far' zone (approx. 1.5 m); the amount of attenuation of the microwave signal between the receiver and transmitting antennas, calibrated by 'cold' measurements for the corresponding wave mode; and by a microwave calorimeter. The results of the three methods agreed within approx.30%.
