Dynamics of triplet excitations in Langmuir-Blodgett films of aromatic molecules

    Spectra and kinetics of decay of the delayed fluorescence of monomers and excimers of anthracene and 1,2-benzanthracene in Langmuir-Blodgett films were investigated. It has been determined that annihilation of triplet excitons is the basic process of the deactivation of triplet state of aromatic molecules in Langmuir-Blodgett films. The observed nonexponential decay kinetics of delayed fluorescence depends on the disorder of films.
