Аннотация

Diopside (CaMg[Si2O6]) is a natural crystalline mineral of the calcium-magnesium-silicate class. It excel by a very high purity from color impurities (Fe2O3+TiO2 not more then 0,06 % mass). Calcium and magnesium oxides are well known as additives improving processes of sintering due to its influence on linkage strength of glass-phase, forming of crystal phase and other. Besides the diopside is being a natural compound cheaper then additives of chemical nature and traditional compounds. Aforesaid allowed to try this mineral as a compound of ceramic composition. For an investigation diopside was entered in porcelain composition in amounts from 0 up to 100 % mass beyond of 100 %. The testing has shown diopside in amount 0.5-5 % appear for mineralizing additive promoting sintering, reducing temperature, increasing strength of an article and its whiteness. At presence of diopside lowers the mullite sintering temperature on about 50°. At entering 5-10% of diopside in ceramic crystalline structure appears new phase - anorthite (CaO·Al2O3·2SiO2). Its presence conditioned by big amount of calcium introduced with diopside. At amounts 10-20% of diopside anorthite becomes the main crystalline phase of ceramic. 20-50% - 2 crystalline phases (diopside and anorthite) have already existed in ceramic. More then 90 % only diopside presence in ceramic. Thus the using of diopside in ceramic compositions allows to improve many properties of ready articles, to decrease the producing costs and also to above grade of quality of production.
