Аннотация

This paper deals with hydrogeological conditions and geochemistry of swamp waters. It is shown that swamp waters are noted for exceptionally low TDS, low pH value, high content of Fe, organic matter, and increased content of NO 3, NH 4, PO 4. In swamp waters the content of organic substances exceeds that of mineral substances, which makes these waters organogenic. The composition of organic matter is characterized by pronounced predominance of humic matter, while bitumen and hydrocarbons occur in smaller quantities.
