Аннотация
Polar ice caps represent a unique representative source of information on the variability in Ch4 in the Late Pleistocene to Holocene. A valuable source of information on the ancient climates is provided by the ice core from the Russian Vostok station. This report presents preliminary results from studies on the oldest core having a length of 2546 from borehole 4G drilled at Vostok station by members of the St. Petersburg Mining Institute.
