Аннотация

The article discusses the arising requirement towards engineering graduates to be able to follow Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and principles in their professional activity. The paper underlines the importance of fostering the Sustainable Development (SD) mindset of engineering students, as well as the need for formation and development of a specific SD environment at universities. The article summarizes the results of expert research on engineering students' SD mindset, including a set of quantitative assessment criteria and evaluation scales for the assessment of SD mindset, rating of restraints on the way of fostering future engineers' SD mindset, and a set of recommendations for training socially responsible students with Sustainable Development mindset.
