Application of carbon nanomaterials as markers in the composition of motor oils

Аннотация

In the present paper, the problem of manufacturing of petroleum products modified with carbon nanomaterials (CNMs) is considered. A technique for preparing a marker masterbatch and its dispersion in original engine oils was developed. The method of CNM identification in these oils was proposed. It was found that aggregates composed of carbon nanotubes are formed in the masterbatch. In this regard, a technique for the separation of such aggregates was developed. Besides, according to our studies, concentration values obtained for the resulting marked engine oil suspensions did not change during six months, thereby indicating their stability.
