    Аннотация

    Apparatus is described for measuring dielectric parameters, electrical strength, working life, and surface breakdown voltage for thermally stable insulators in the range 300-1600 degree K at 10** minus **1-10**5 Pa in various gases. The insulation for the four sealed leads is designed for 40 kv. The heater and the thermal insulation for the resistance furnace employ carbon-fiber materials. Pyrolytic boron nitride plates have been used in the vacuum-screen insulation and in the electrical insulation for the working zone of 90 mm multiplied by 100 multiplied by 440 mm. Use is made of the anisotropy in the thermophysical parameters of pyrolytic boron nitride to provide a highly uniform temperature pattern in the working zone.
