Analysis of the Radio Pulse Formation in the Overdimensional Resonator with the Interference-type Switch

The process of forming high-power nanosecond radio pulses by the technique of resonance compression of the microwave energy in the overdimensional resonator with the interference-type switch is analyzed. The properties of this process are revealed. The functional relationship between characteristics of the resonance system and parameters of the formed pulses is established. The process of pulse forming is studied experimentally. The experimental and theoretical results are compared. A simple technique for calculating characteristics of this system is presented and the potential parameters of pulses formed by this system are evaluated.
