Air-cooled barrier-discharge excilamps with flat exit windows are described. The results of investigations into radiation of lamps on KrCl *(λ ̃ 222 nm), Cl2(λ ̃ 258 nm), and KrBr (λ̃ 207 nm) molecules are given. The obtained average radiation powers in the UV spectrum region behind a flat window are 10.2, 1.55, and 4.15 W, respectively. The excilamps are intended to uniformly irradiate various objects with areas of up to 200 cm2 in air and various gaseous media. They are also equipped with a system preventing the ozone generated in the lamp from eaving.
