Abstract

Kelvin wave, generated after helical vortex reconnection was observed propagating on precessing helical vortex tube in swirling flow of real fluid in conical diffusor. High-speed visualization was done using cavitation in the vortex core and Kelvin wave amplitude decay was measured.
