Voltamperometric method for determination of the activity of antioxidants

Abstract

A new, highly sensitive voltamperometric method for determination of the activity of antioxidants(organic substances absorbing oxygen in solutions) is described. The method is based on measuring the voltampere characteristics of the cathode reduction of oxygen in aprotic solvents. The activity coefficients were determined for eight antioxidants.
