Abstract
Optimum conditions for determination of genotoxic N,N-dimethyl-4-amino- 4′-hydroxyazobenzene (DAHAB) by differential pulse voltammetry and adsorptive stripping differential pulse voltammetry at a glassy carbon paste electrode (GCPE) have been estimated. Due to the fact that DAHAB molecule has two electroactive sites, its determination was based on electroreduction of the azo group and electrooxidation of the aromatic hydroxy group. The lowest determination limits in adsorptive stripping differential pulse voltammetry were 2 × 10-7 mol L-1 for reduction of the azo group, and 2 × 10-8 mol L-1 for oxidation of the aromatic hydroxy group. Furthemore, DAHAB was determinated on GCPE in the presence of N,N-dimethyl-4-amino azobenzene applying DPV and adsorptive stripping DPV methods.
