Abstract

In this paper, we describe the success story of Petroleum Learning Centre; joint project of Tomsk Polytechnic University (Tomsk, Russia) and Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh, UK). The Centre has been training elite personnel for petroleum industry since 2001; its graduates are now employed by multiple oil, gas and service companies operating in Russia and abroad.
