Thermodynamic Approach to Determination of the Degree of Inhomogeneity of a Capacitive Discharge

Abstract

It is shown in the case of capacitive discharge excilamps that the thermal power of the discharge is proportional to the volume filling coefficient of the discharge. It is proposed to treat the found phenomenon as an analog of the effect of the normal current density of a barrier discharge.
