Abstract

The possibility of using thermal imaging equipment (a thermal imager) for determining the pattern of the temperature field distribution on the surface of welded items is considered. This allows evaluation of a region that is subjected to thermal action in the real-time mode and predicting the strength characteristics and the chemical composition of the welded joint.
