Abstract
The study deals with the structure and triboengineering behavior of Cu-Ni-WC alloy produced by electron beam surfacing as a coating on the copper and steel substrate. It is shown that introduction of tungsten carbide particles into the copper alloy boosts significantly its load bearing capacity to make it useful in heavily loaded friction units.
