The statistical group-theoretical method for treatment of the notion of defect

Abstract

A group-theoretical approach to the interpretation of the "flaw" concept is proposed based on statistical structure-oriented methods of spatial filtering of images developed by the authors. The local Lee group in the theoretical-group filters was used as an instrument for determining the structural norm of inspection. Methods for the recognition of anomalous structural-functional relationships in the test object and the formation of its defectivity map are considered.
