Abstract

A stochastic model of the dynamics of an electrical contact between bodies is developed, which enables processes which are inaccessible to physical observation to be investigated, and which enables the properties of the contact to be predicted. The use of correlation analysis to estimate the stochastic properties of the formation of the structure of the contact layer, the dynamics and direction of fractal interaction between the surfaces of the bodies of a contact pair is demonstrated.
