The Late Paleozoic epoch of gold mineralization in the Precambrian framing of the Siberian platform

Abstract

New data were obtained from the radiological dating of sericite in beresites from seven ore fields in Northern Transbaykalia, and literary sources were analyzed. On the basis of these data it was concluded that the ore mineralization in the activated structures of pre-Palaeozoic folding near the Muyskiy and Charskiy projections of the basement on the Siberian platform belongs to the Late Palaeozoic epoch of tectono-magmatic activation. Within the gold-bearing metallogenetic zone of the southern pre-Palaeozoic folded frame of the Siberian platform there is a rejuvenation in the age of the gold mineralisation from Later Riphean in the west to Late Palaeozoic in the central part and Late Mesozoic in the east. -translated by P.Cooke
