Abstract

The results of comprehensive ecological and geochemical studies of the major tributaries of the Ob in its middle course are presented. The regularities of distribution of the concentrations of principal ions, biogenic substances, heavy metals, rare-earth elements, organic matter, and microorganisms in the river water are analyzed. The majority of the tributaries are classified as contaminated and highly contaminated water bodies.
