Abstract
Phase composition, thin structure and morphology of the surface of the intermetallic coating are investigated by transmission electron microscopy, X-ray analysis and atomic force microscopy. It is shown that Ni3Al is the main phase of the intermetallic coating for all investigated samples. There is a small amount of the NiAl and AlFe3C phases. The application of temperature and ion beam treatment changes the atomic long-range order parameter and the elastic microstresses of the crystalline lattice.
