Abstract
Regulation of the electric power generated by an autonomous electric supply system fed from a micro hydroelectric plant (microHEP) using an additional ballast load is a means of stabilizing the magnitude and frequency of its voltages. A method and algorithm are given for the construction of an output-voltage stabilization system for a microHEP permitting the use of standard electric heating devices of appropriate capacity as ballast.
