N2 - The lead complex with the [6-B10H13CN]2 - anion and 2,2′-bipyridine is synthesized and characterized. According to the X-ray diffraction data, the crystals are triclinic, a = 9.547(3), b = 13.003(4), c = 13.319(3) Å, α = 79.65(2)°, β = 73.05(2)°, γ = 75.94(2)°, V = 1523.7(7) Å3, Z = 2, space group P1. The lead atom is coordinated by two chelating bipyridine ligands. The Pb-B distances are in the range 3.46-3.51 Å.
