Abstract
The present review will illustrate the important role of the synthesis and functionalization of 7H-dibenzo-[de,h]quinolin-7-ones. The methods used for preparation of 7H-dibenzo[de,h]quinolin-7-ones can be classified into two groups: intermolecular cyclizations of 1-alkynyl-9,10-anthraquinones and intramolecular cyclizations of isoquinoline derivatives with N-nucleophiles.
