Abstract
Use of the magnetizing effect for impulsive forcing of the main magnetic flux has been found to improve service characteristics of synchronous impulse generators. The present study allows for important factors not known to be treated previously, especially increase of the main magnetic flux on sudden short circuit of a single-phase non-salient-pole synchronous generator. Magnetic-field-based transient analysis of computer deepens ideas about processes involved.
